Life Is What We Make Of It

life is what we make of itOne of the coolest thoughts I can think of is that…

We Are Happening To Life

Not..

Life is happening to us.

Anthony Robbins says that nothing has any meaning… it is us that give events meaning

We color the events of our lives with the way we look at things.

but what I want you to know is…

There Is An Unstoppable Power Inside Of You

One of the biggest reasons I’m not a fan of socialism is because it teaches people to be dependent on a “safety net” when most of us don’t need one…

Most of us are completely capable…

With a sleeping giant inside of us….

They say we use 10% of our brain power and I believe it to be an even lesser amount of our potential.

We can do ANYTHING!

I’ve shaken hands with a millionaire who used to be homeless..

I’ve watched my father hold on for an extra week while fighting cancer so that he could see his whole family together for just one last time.

his will was unstoppable.. and therefore, so was he.

once he decided he was done living, it was almost instant. He withered away in just a few days.

While this was something I found very painful at the time it did teach me something about what we all have inside of us.

I want you to know that YOUR will is unstoppable.

You might just need to find it.

Ditch The Excuses

I like to think of this blog as a place to be inspired… but it’s also a place to be challenged.

I’ve seen a few comments lately containing some seriously self-defeating talk…

excuses…

We’ve all done it…

It takes a consistent effort to make sure that we keep our thoughts and language focused in a positive direction..

Please know that you can do whatever you want to do in your life..

It doesn’t matter which family you were born into..

how much money you have..

how many friends you have..

how smart you are..

The human will knows no limitations.

So the next time you catch yourself saying “If I just had your advantages…” or “Maybe if things were different…”

bite your tongue (just a little.. lol)

because you deserve better.

And you can do better.

If you’re not ready to believe in yourself just yet… let me…

Just had this on my mind tonight and wanted to put some positivity out there.

Please share on facebook/twitter/linkedIn if you’ve enjoyed and thanks for subscribing! :)

        Me, too!
Andrew, It was truly Serendipity that in your discovery of my blog, I was led to yours, just when I needed it. After late night of writing, this morning I received a response from a newspaper editor, and learned my blog had two new readers. My dream is starting to feel real. Thank you for your song of encouragement, which is now in my head!

For anyone who doubts this – you just need to spend about five minutes with my friend, Joe. Joe has cerebral palsy, and lives every day with a smile on his face and an ‘attitude of gratitude’. My next few blogs are going to be about him – how he strives to make the most of his life and inspires everyone who meets him.

just what I needed to read as well! i have found myself recently saying things like….if i only had your…?….then I could have the same success as you/her/him. but… I can work hard and take control of my own success! Time to go get ’em!

When the contrast gets greater, the desire gets greater too, and that’s what miracles are from. A miracle is nothing more than a terrible situation that has caused strong desire and then somehow an alignment of Energy with the desire. Every day life creativity, that’s all that it is.

Preach it, Andrew! Nothing is so destructive as the belief that you can’t do something. We do have the power to do anything we set our mind to–it’s just setting our mind to it! As Winston Churchill said, “When you’re going through hell, keep going.” A self-defeating attitude is our own handcrafted hell. Time for a mental turnaround! Keep up the good work.

Well, what can I say – you are young and it is great to see that you have some of that older fellows outlook plus piles of optimism. I too am an optimist but one thing I discovered early on in my life and that is not to swing too high. Don’t burn yourself out – the road ahead of you might be very long and I would be very upset to know that halfway to the other end you stop being the great optimist that you are. Don’t forget to listen to that pessimist and try to gently lead him into optimism and hope – it might very well be that when young he too was the optimist you are now. He just needs to find his way back to that point and you need to find a way to get him there. I wish you lots of luck but more that STRENGTH AND WISDOM!!!

Hey Darrel, check out jetpack for wordpress. Should do the trick. WordPress.com has good support for this if you have any issues :)

Positive self talk. We hear too much negative talk around us and then we fall into the trap of thinking that way ourselves. Great advice here.
Also, thanks for following my blog. I wanted to share some blogger love and return the favor. I’m glad I did!

This is so true. Incredible input and great words of motivation bro. Many people don’t realize their own potential until they take the time to meditate and find themselves from within, or are forced to do so. Thanks for the follow.

Great post! For me that something on the inside, that unstoppable force and power is that of the Holy Spirit of The Living God! With God all things are possible to those who believe! What an awesome reminder and refreshing to what we normally hear in society on a regular basis. Thanks for posting!

Really inspirational post. I feel that people in today’s society are put down by the fact that they are not “good enough.” It’s all mental… Only you can allow others’ negative feedback to affect you in any way. Being confident in yourself and trusting in your talents will take you to the first step towards success. Everyone is unique and has their own talents that they can contribute to society.

    Hi Andrew,
First of all thank for following my blog secondly your writing inspired me a lot. A lot of time I used to wonder about the same thing “Why can’t we do what we like?” Reading your page made me realize we can do what we like and we should do what we like it not only helps us but the others around us. Your views are very refreshing and rare to see in this competing world. Keep up the spirit! :)
