Did you know that habit change takes 21 days?

We all have things that we would like to change but usually, for results to change, we need to have habit change.

Habit Change

Think about a concert pianist playing out his favorite tune with an orchestra behind him. Adrenaline is high and the crowd is fully engaged and silent.

With beads of sweat streaming down his forehead the pianist hammers the piano by strumming his hands across the ivory keys…

He’s moving so fast it seems it impossible that he could play so flawlessly…

yet he does.

so how does he do it?

He created a habit… He created habit change

Habit Change At A Basic Level

When we’ve created a habit for success.. it seems to come effortlessly.

So how do we create it?

We must consciously decide to act a certain way for at least 21 days.

Anyone can create habit change by simply consciously deciding to do something differently for that time.

When I was a kid I used to shoot hockey right-handed..

I had a pretty good shot if I say so myself but never actually owned my own hockey stick.

When playing with friends, they usually only had left handed sticks..

what happened?

I literally trained my body to want to shoot left-handed. To this day even the thought of shooting right-handed feels weird.

when I pick up a stick, I’ll always hold it on the left (even if it’s a righty stick)

I don’t remember the exact moment when shooting left handed became “natural”, but it did and it’s stuck with me.

What if that’s all it takes?

In my studies of human nature and success I’ve noticed that people often form self-sabotaging habits when it comes to self-talk and negativity..

What if the course of your entire life could be changed by a 21 day decision to react differently?

A 21 Day Habit Change Challenge

For the next 21 days, I challenge you to create habit change in your life.

Do you want to be stronger? (physically or mentally)

Do you want to get more accomplished?

Do you want to become more confident?

create a structure or approach you will follow for the next 21 days that you KNOW will lead to your desired result.

From there… STICK TO IT.

You’ll be glad you did because…

although the concert pianist had to think about the notes he was playing when he first started… he now can play more beautifully than ever without thinking.
